Rare Disease Day 2021 is on Sunday, February 28th. This year's message is that "Rare is many, rare is strong and rare is proud".
Rare Disease Day is entering a new phase, focusing on advocating for increased equity for the rare disease community. The campaign message reframes perceptions of what it means to be "rare" so that no one is left behind in achieving greater equity.
Rare Disease Day was created to raise awareness amongst the general public and also seeks to raise awareness amongst policy makers, public authorities, industry representatives, researchers, health professionals and anyone who has a genuine interest in rare diseases.
